About Collette

Stories about flawed hearts, brave choices and the many ways love can heal.

Collette May writes romance, action, children’s stories and honest non-fiction with one clear thread running through it all: humanity.

I am a creator of romance fiction with characters who are flawed, hurt and struggling with demons from their past, but who find that love comes in many ways to heal and redeem.

And that is just the romance books.

My action novels are filled with adventure, suspense, betrayal and hard truths. They explore deep-seated issues such as PTSD, human trafficking, abuse and the effects these events can have on a family. Even when the stories are packed with action, there is still humanity at the centre. That humanity is what can make a kick-ass hero truly swoon-worthy.

My books for children are joyful, colourful, fun-filled and educational. They touch on topics that range from general facts, such as where bubble gum comes from, to difficult feelings such as anxiety and other frightening emotions.

My non-fiction work is hard-hitting, honest and no-holds-barred. It is based on fact, as well as more than 15 years of counselling experience across domestic violence, trauma, addiction and recovery, and family cohesion.
